About Metz Glass

Metz Glass began in Augsburg, Germany on September 1, 1927. Kreszentia Metz was the first woman to earn a Meisterbetrieb (Master’s Degree) in Glass Work. Her son, Alois Metz continued the tradition, then immigrated to Fayetteville in 1959 and reopened Metz Auto Glass in 1961. Alois W. Metz, Jr (Louis) has operated the business since his father’s retirement in 1989.
